Mr Rocco Di Vincenzo - Consultant Dietitian,

Rocco is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with over 18 years of experience as a clinical Dietitian. Rocco incorporates strategies such as optimum nutrition, strategic nutritional supplementation, treatment of allergies and intolerances and the use of certain functional pathology tests in the elucidation and treatment of a number of complex, chronic conditions.

The Nutrition and Dietetic Service offers individual consultations to patients referred by Specialists, General Practitioners and Allied Health Care Providers as well as those patients who refer themselves.

The Nutrition and Dietetic Service focuses on holistic, integrated and expressive health care, with the ultimate aim of focusing on the treatment  of cause, rather than simply the treatment of patient symptoms alone. The focus is on nutrition education and counselling as part of a holistic and complementary approach to health.


Rather than handing out ‘generic diets’, the service seeks to work with patients to determine appropriate and sustainable nutritional goals, implement individually-tailored nutrition and supplementation care plans that are specific to the patient’s individual needs and genetic constitution.

Group Nutrition Education programs offered including Supermarket Shopping Tours, and  presentations on a range of health topics of particular community interest. Presentations seek to provide participants with scientifically accurate nutrition information with the goal of empowering and enabling individuals to make informed nutrition decisions pertaining to their own health.

General nutritional services include:

  • Optimum nutrition and Metabolic Syndrome management – including Hyperinsulinaemia and Insulin Resistance, Diabetes, High Cholesterol and Triglycerides, Hypertension, Obesity and Cardiovascular disease.
  • Optimum nutrition in Pregnancy/Lactation, Gestational Diabetes, Preconception Care.
  • Optimum nutrition for Vegetarians: Lacto-ovo vegetarianism, Veganism, Pseudo vegetarianism.
  • Optimum nutrition during Rehabilitation.
  • Optimum Nutrition in the Elderly.
  • Optimum Nutrition and Bowel Health.
  • Health Promotion, Community Development involving nutrition.


A Multicultural nutrition service – the Nutrition Service endeavours  to meet the individual needs of people from a variety of cultural backgrounds, with demonstrated sensitivity to cultural eating habits.
 
Rocco provides consultations in fluent verbal and written Italian.
 
Health Screening Assessments & Questionnaires.  In house prescribed Functional, and conventional investigations.

Specialised nutritional services:

Individually tailored strategic diet and nutritional supplementation programs.

  • Optimum Nutrition in Autoimmune Disease e.g. Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, CFS, SLE, Scleroderma, Ankylosing Spondylitis etc.
  • Food Allergies/intolerances, including Fructose and Lactose intolerance.
  • Functional Reactive Hypoglycaemia.
  • Optimum Nutrition in Neurological disorders e.g. Anxiety, Depression.
  • Eating Disorders, i.e. anorexia, bulimia, obsessive compulsive over-eating
  • nutrition support.
  • Bowel disorders: Coeliac  Disease,Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS),        Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn’s disease),        Diverticulitis, Haemorrhoids, etc.
  • Gastrointestinal Rehabilitation Programs for ‘LGS’ Leaky Gut Syndrome.
  • Gut/Liver Detoxification Programs.
  • Nutrition in Behavioural and Learning Difficulties (i.e. ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia)
  • Nutrition in Childhood Disabilities  e.g. Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, Epilepsy, Acquired Brain Injury.
  • Nutrition in Neuropsychiatric disorders  e.g. Autism, Asperger Syndrome, Tourette’s, Bipolar, Schizophrenia.
  • Preventative Health Screening to enhance wellness.
